|1/3 cup||yellow onion, diced|
|1/3 cup||low sodium soy sauce|
|1/4 cup||brown sugar, packed|
|1 tablespoon||minced garlic|
|1 teaspoon||sesame oil|
|1/2 teaspoon||ground ginger|
|1/2 teaspoon||ground black pepper|
|1/4 teaspoon||red pepper flakes|
|1/4 teaspoon||sesame seeds (for garnish)|
- In a large, non-stick skillet brown ground beef and onions over medium heat.
- While beef continues to cook, in a bowl combine soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, sesame oil, ground ginger, and black pepper.
- Add sauce to ground beef in skillet, heating through until thickened.
- Serve over fresh white rice and sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions.
